Beechwood Books is a publishing house founded on do-it-yourself ideology. When our founder had his first book produced by a major publisher in 2005, he felt lost and ignored during the process. As he put it, "They reminded me of my Army recruiter – once I signed the paperwork, they were impossible to get a hold of." So, he decided to produce his own books from start to finish.
In 2010, Beechwood Books was founded, and an efficient and collaborative approach replaced the bloated process typical of major publishers. At Beechwood Books, our team – author, editor, typesetter, printer, and a few proofreaders – delivers low-cost, high-quality books directly to individual readers and booksellers. Our titles include Blue Line to Blue Line (2013), History Inside the Blue Line (2014), My Adirondacks (2015 – voted Best Memoir by the Adirondack Center for Writing), Among the Cloud Splitters (2016), and Cradle of the Union (2019). Upcoming titles include Color Remote and When They Named the Wilderness, to be released in 2019 and 2021, respectively.
